Class 1A Girls Semifinals R.A. Hubbard 48, Westminster-Oak Mountain 44

    A’Nautica Bibbs sank four key free throws in the final 39 seconds to spark R.A. Hubbard (21-8) to a come-from-behind 48-44 victory over Westminster-Oak Mountain (21-6) Monday morning as the 95th annual AHSAA State Basketball Championships got underway at the BJCC Legacy Arena.
    Down 44-41 with 90 seconds to play, Chiefs teammate Alexandria Orr made two free throws to cut the Lady Knights’ lead to one. Bibbs put her team ahead 45-44 with 39 seconds left and added to the lead 12 seconds later as Coach Candace Byrd’s team took control 47-44.
    Bibbs finished with four points. She also had 13 rebounds. Kee-Undria Bolden led R.A. Hubbard with 18 points.
    Westminster, coached by Dana Gache’, was led by freshman guard Morgan White’s 14 points and four assists. She also had six rebounds.  Macy Mixon and Rachel Price added nine points each. Anna Richburg had four points, four rebounds and a game-high seven blocked shots before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
