AHSAA To Have 10 Football Playoff Games Live-Streamed Over The NFHS TV Network Friday

Dale County High School (12-0) and Montgomery Academy (12-0) will square off at Midland City Friday night in the third round of the AHSAA state football playoffs in what is considered one of the state’s most anticipated playoff games.
The game is one of only two on the playoff slate that features unbeaten teams and will be one of 10 games being live-streamed over the NFHS TV Network this week. Saraland and Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa are each producing the 6A playoff contest.
Dale County senior running back Jamarius Henderson has rushed for 2,712 yards this season, including 591 yards and nine touchdowns on just 31 carries in the first two playoff games. He needs 372 yards to break the AHSAA single-season record for rushing yards (3,083) set in 2000 by Aliceville’s Kendal Gibson.
Coach Pate Harrison’s Warriors, 23-1 the last two seasons, will be hosting the unbeaten Eagles (12-0), a 30-28 winner over T.R. Miller last week.
Friday night’s quarterfinal battle will be live-streamed live over the NFHS TV Network and can be accessed through the subscriber-based network at

The other 10 NFHS TV Network games to be live-streamed will include both Class 7A semifinal games:   Prattville at Foley and Gadsden City at Hoover. The new 7A classification has only four playoff rounds with Friday’s winners advancing to the Super 7 Class 7A championship game Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Other games being live-streamed over the NFHS TV Network Friday are Brantley at Billingsley (1A); Fyffe at Tanner (2A); Madison Academy at Walter Wellborn (3A); Munford at Leeds (4A); Guntersville at Pleasant Grove (5A); Florence at Gardendale (6A); and Saraland at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa (6A).  The Saraland-Hillcrest contest will be produced by both schools.
