Park Crossing at Opelika in Class 6A Semifinals Is RAYCOM / AHSAA Playoff Game of the Week

MONTGOMERY – Raycom Network will televise Park Crossing (12-0) at Opelika (12-1) Friday night in the Class 6A semifinals as its fourth installment of the Raycom/AHSAA High School Football Playoff Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 7:03 p.m.
Park Crossing, coached by former Opelika assistant coach Smitty Grider, won a wild 54-51 decision last week over Blount at Cramton Bowl in the Raycom / AHSAA Game of the Week. Jake Lane’s 41-yard field goal as time expired gave the Thunderbirds the win.  Opelika came from behind to beat defending 6A state champion Spanish Fort in the quarterfinals as Coach Brian Blackmon of the Bulldogs avenged a 2015 loss to the Toros, coached by his younger brother Ben Blackmon.
Play-by-play is being handled by Graham Dunn with Mike Peacock the color commentator and Christina Chambers as the sideline reporter.
The Raycom/AHSAA Playoff Game of the Week is a weekly live TV telecast over the Raycom Network’s Alabama affiliates. It will run through the this week’s semifinals and conclude with the Super 7 state championship games (all classes) at Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn Nov. 30-Dec. 1-2.
