Alabama Christian Academy has been fined, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit one varsity football game victory for violating AHSAA eligibility rules. The school self-reported the violation.
Alabama Christian played an ineligible student prior to his completion of a bona fide move in violation of the “Transfer Rule”. The school must forfeit all contests its team won in which the student participated while ineligible. Alabama Christian forfeited its 22-6 season-opening win over Providence Christian. The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
