Prattville High School has been fined, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit one varsity football game victory for violating AHSAA eligibility rules. The school requested the AHSAA to make an official ruling on the student’s eligibility.
Prattville played an ineligible student prior to his completion of a bona fide move in violation of the “Transfer Rule”. The school must forfeit all contests its team won in which the student participated. PHS forfeited its 28-23 win over Stanhope Elmore. The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
