Class 6A Boys Semifinals Carver-Montgomery 54, Woodlawn 42

     Carver-Montgomery (28-4) outscored Woodlawn by nine in the fourth quarter en route to a 54-42 victory in the AHSAA Class 6A boys’ state basketball tournament semifinals Thursday.
    Brandon Austin had 18 points and Joseph Strugg had 12 rebounds to pace the Wolverines of Coach James Jackson.  Antonio Nelson also had 12 points and guard Darian Adams had eight points and five assists.
    Woodlawn (25-8), coached by Demetrius Turner, was paced by DeCarlos Wright’s 16 points. Javien  Williams had 14 and Jaylon Dubose 11.
   Carver will meet Lee-Huntsville in the 6A finals of the 93rd annual AHSAA State Basketball Tourney at the BJCC Saturday at 3 p.m.
