AHSAA TUESDAY SECTION GOLF RESULTS

BOYS Section Results

BOYS

Class 7A, Section 1
Price Brown’s 2-over round of 74 led McGill-Toolen Catholic to a 302 team total and the section championship. Wells Keaton shot a 76 for the winning Yellow Jackets and Will Richard also had 76 for runner-up Fairhope.

Class 7A, Section 2
Auburn won the team title with a 7-over 295 total as Jack Stevens and Garrison Guthrie shot 1-over 73, Tanner Guthrie turned in a 2-over 74 and Conner Newton scored a 3-over 75. Tucker Crowson had a 76 to pace runner-up Central-Phenix City. Auburn’s Caleb Adcock, who qualified for the Sub-State tourney as an individual, shot a 75 and Durote’ Hurst of Smiths Station had a 76 to also advance to the Sub-State round.

Class  7A, Section 3
Mountain Brook, led by Reynolds Lambert’s 71, and Spain Park, paced by Nick Dunlap’s 70, tied for the section title with 296 scores. Vestavia individual Austin Coggin shot a 68 to grab low medalist honors.

Class  6A, Section 3
Low medalist Matthew Madden fired a 72 to lead Northridge to the section title with  300 score. Sam Brewbaker shot a 73 for Northridge. Brookwood’s Thomas Caddell topped the individual qualifiers with a 75.


Class  6A, Section 4
Muscle Shoals, coached by Derrick Gargis, captured the team title ahead of Hartselle, 291-302. Hunter Battles and Thomas Regan, both of Muscle Shoals, and Justin Vincent, playing as an individual from Athens, tied for low medalist honors with 72s.


Class 5A, Section 1

Defending state champion St. Paul’s Episcopal recorded a 3-over 291 total as a team to win the Section 1 title by 79 strokes over Demopolis, which had a 370. Will McFadden’s 4-under 68 led Coach Zac Lambrecht’s Saints. Kyle Cornelius also shot even par 72 and Bill Johnson had a 76.  John Gaal of St. Paul’s, who qualified as an individual, and Rehobeth’s Brantley Scott also shot 3-over 75.

Class  4A, Section 3
Oneonta, led by low medalist Will Patrick’s 4-under 68, won the team title, edging White Plains 312-314. Nathan Griffin paced White Plains with a 77.

Class 4A, Section 4

Madison Academy edged runner-up Randolph by three strokes, 341-344 to take the Section championship. Nathan Fenza’s 79 led the Mustangs, and Charles’s Warren’s 77 led the Raiders. Low medalist was Deshler’s Luke Linley, who shot 3-over 75, and Priceville’s Philip Cain was second with a 76.

Class 3A, Section 2
Davis Aaron shot 3-over 75 to earn low medalist honors and led American Christian to the section title. The Patriots shot a 386. Oakman finished second. Indian Springs’ Pete Schilli was one stroke behind with a 76 to qualify for a Sub-State spot as an individual.


Class 3A, Section 3

North Sand Mountain, coached by Tracy Vest, shot a 348 to win the team title with Hunter Vest’s 77 earning low medalist honors for the Thundering Herd. Glencoe, which finished second, was led by Brock McNeely’s 80.

Class  1A-2A, Section 2

Vincent, coached by Wiley McKeller, won the team title with a 359, followed by runner-up Holy Spirit at 385. Dusty Davis of Vincent was low medalist with an 84.
Class  1A-2A, Section 4
Red Bay was the winner with a 387. Lindsay Lane was the runner-up. Red Bay’s Codey Cleveland and Marion County’s Logan Maddox, playing as an individual, tied for low medalist honors with 80s.

GIRLS' SECTION RESULTS
Class 7A, Section 1
Laura Burch shot an 87 and Meghan Stein 89 to lead McGill-Toolen Catholic to a 266 team total and the section title.  Davidson was second at 269. Abby Foster shot an 87 for the Warriors.
Class 7A, Section 2
Morgan Jones shot a 77 and Auburn teammates Morgan Jones and Anna Claire Little followed with 77 and 79 to lead Coach Adam Byrd’s Lady Tigers to the Section 2 championship with a 234 team score.   Enterprise was second at 258. Emilia Smith and Ashley Sinclair Curtis each carded 79 to pace the Wildcats.

Class 7A, Section 3
Low medalist Carson McKie fired a 71 to lead Hoover to the section title just ahead of Spain Park, 221-228. Caroline Waldrup’s 72 led Spain Park.

Class 7A, Section 4
Huntsville, coached by Chris Brown, won the team championship with a 247 team total. Grissom was second at 278.  Savanna Johnson led the Panthers with a round of 79 to earn low medalist honors.

Class 6A, Section 2
Coach David Weeks’ Oxford girls won with a 251 team total. Homewood was second at 287. Kayla Huckeba was low medalist with a 76 for the winning Yellow Jackets. Teammate Anna Bolton was three strokes back with a 79.

Class 6A, Section 4
Muscle Shoals’ duo of Anna Margaret Hays and Riya Key shot 76 and 79, respectively, to lead the Trojans to the Section 4 girls’ title. Samantha Shelton and Reagan Daniel each added rounds of 86 for Coach Chad Willis’ team. Muscle Shoals won the team competition with a 241 total – two strokes ahead of runner-up Hartselle and seven ahead of third-place finisher Hazel Green. Jinger Heath of Hartselle was low medalist with a 1-under 71, and teammate Mikayla Dubnik shot a 75.

Class 4A-5A, Section 2
Northside, coached by Stasha Morrison, won the team title ahead of Sylacauga, 230-292. Karlee Allen of Northside was low medalist with a 73 and teammate Erika Allen shot 4-over 76.

Class 4A/5A, Section 3

White Plains compiled a 263 team total to claim the Section 3 crown. Alexandria was second at 297.  Hanna Dyar led the winning Wildcats with an 84.  Low medalist was Robyn Blakey of Leeds with a 79. Sydney Hanson of Boaz was next with an 81.


Class 1A/3A, Section 2
Altamont posted a team 274 to win over runner-up Holy Spirit Catholic (320). Cold Springs’ Katie Salley shot 84 to earn low medalist and locked in an individual spot in the sub-state next week. Scout Phillips’ 87 led the winning Knights.
