Sumter Central Forfeits Another Game
Sumter Central High School, which forfeited three football games Oct. 17 for using ineligible players, has been ordered to forfeit another game based on additional information reported to the AHSAA regarding player eligibility.
One of the ineligible players involved in the other three forfeits also participated in Sumter Central’s game against Southside-Selma, so the region victory is now recorded as a forfeit. Other forfeits were to region opponent West Blocton and non-region foes John Essex and Choctaw County.
The player participated in violation of the Transfer Rule.
