Reeltown Team Placed On Restrictive Probation
The girls basketball program at Reeltown High School has been placed on restrictive probation because of unsportsmanlike conduct during a Dec. 18 game against Goshen High School.
An altercation occurred during the game and several players from both schools were ejected. Officials stopped the game which resulted in a forfeit to Goshen.
Restrictive probation limits the Reeltown girls basketball team to only regular season play and prohibits any participation in any events involving more than two schools, including the basketball championship program, during the 2009-10 season.
Under Conduct Rule/Ejection Penalties, players ejected for the first time received a $300 fine. Players ejected for the second time received a one-game suspension and a $500 fine.
Any bench players ejected were suspended for the team’s next four games under the new Leaving The Bench Ejection Rule.
