J.O. Johnson Draws Fine, Forfeits 5 Games
J.O. Johnson High School has been fined $300, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit five games for violating AHSAA eligibility rules.
The school used an ineligible player in all eight games played so far this season in violation of the Bona Fide Move section of the Transfer Rule. The Jaguars must forfeit wins over S.R. Butler, Columbia, Etowah, Russellville and Lee-Huntsville.
The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
