10 Coaches' Children Scholarships Awarded
Ten Coaches’ Children Scholarship winners for 2009-10 have been selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA), according to Director Steve Bailey.
These $1,000 need-based scholarships, presented for the third year by the coaches group, are being awarded to college-bound students whose parents are active members of the AHSADCA. The scholarships will be presented to the graduating seniors on July 15 at the Championship Awards Banquet during All-Star Sports Week in Huntsville.
“I am proud that we continue to provide this service from our Association to our member coaches and athletic directors,” Bailey said. “A lot of sacrifices are made by the coaches and their families, and we want to do whatever we can to show our appreciation and in some way perhaps help them.”
