Clay-Chalkville Forfeits 9 Games, Draws Fine
Clay-Chalkville High School has been fined $300, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit nine football games for violating AHSAA eligibility rules.
The school used an ineligible player in all nine games this season in violation of the Suspensions Rule. Clay-Chalkville must forfeit its victories over Minor, Hewitt-Trussville, Oxford, Shades Valley, Sparkman, Gadsden City, Pell City, Austin and Huffman.
The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
