Baseball, Softball And Soccer All-Stars Named
Teams and coaches selected for the North-South softball, baseball and boys and girls soccer competition during the 13th annual Alabama All-Star Sports Week July 13-17 in Huntsville have been announced by Steve Bailey, director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.
All rosters are composed of upcoming seniors. The Baseball All-Stars will play at Joe Davis Stadium, home of the Southern League’s Huntsville Stars, on Monday, July 13, with a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
The boys and girls Soccer All-Stars will play a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 14, at the John Hunt Park with the girls playing at 5 p.m., and the boys following at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, July 15, the Softball All-Stars will play at the Metro Kiwanis Sportsplex at 6 p.m.
Sports Week features in-state all-star games in volleyball, girls and boys basketball and football as well. Also included are clinics and sessions for coaches, athletic directors and administrators with Florida football coach Urban Meyer among the clinicians. An All-Sports Product Expo and other related activities are scheduled throughout the week.
BASEBALL
